ネットスーパーが人気、早速利用してみた。

「ネットスーパー」をご存知ですか？　スーパーマーケットがネットで注文を受けて、その日のうちに商品を届ける新しいサービスです。

日経新聞の９月１１日付け朝刊３５面の「買い手の本音」に「ネットスーパー　楽・いつでも、で高い支持」という記事が掲載されていました。　私は新しいビジネスモデルとして「ネットスーパー」が昨年あたりから開始されたのは承知していましたが、小額の日々の食材中心でネットで注文し、送料を負担してまで宅配してもらうニーズが高いのだろうかと、少し疑問に感じていました。

しかし、記事を読み、見方を変える必要がありそうです。

＜記事のサマリー＞

・食品の宅配サービスを利用する人が増えている。　その中でもスーパーの店舗からその日のうちに商品が届く「ネットスーパー」の人気が高まっている。　子育て層を中心に「買い物は楽に」と願う主婦層に受けている。

・日経産業地域研究所の調査によると、週１回以上食品の宅配サービスを受けている人の割合は、「生協の個人宅配」が１１％、「ネットスーパー」と「生協以外の有機農産物宅配」が２％とまだ低いが、今後、ネットスーパーを利用したいという人が８％とスーパーやデパ地下などを含む１３業態中でトップ。

・イトーヨーカードーは今期、ネットスーパーの売上を前期の２．４倍の１２０億円を見込む。　ニーズは予想以上に強いと判断している。

・ネットスーパーを利用する（したい）理由は、１位：店舗に行く手間・商品を持ち帰る手間がかからない。　２位：曜日などを決めずにいつでも配達してもらえる。　３位：ガソリン代が掛からない。　実際の利用でも水のペットボトルや洗剤・飲料など重い商品の注文比率が多い。

・「楽」、「便利」への欲求が新業態を育てている。

以上が記事の要約です。　なるほど、子育て世代の主婦層に限らず、少子高齢化が急速に進む日本では、お年寄り世代にも便利な存在になりそうだ。　実際、関東を中心として展開するイトーヨーカドーネットスーパー（アイワイネット）や西友ネットスーパーでは会員数が10万人を突破し拡大が続いているようだ。

　これから益々、ネット利用が進み、ネット利用に慣れた人口が増えていくから「ネットスーパー」という新ビジネスモデルは更にニーズが高まることは間違いなさそうだ。

早速、「ネットスーパー」を体験してみることとしました。

私の住まいの八王子市で、よく利用しているイトーヨーカドー八王子店の「イトーヨーカドー・ネットスーパー」を利用することとしました。　利用するには会員登録が必要ですが登録は無料です。　支払いは代引き（着払い、現金払い）かカード決済が選べます。　配達は注文時間後、３時間経過以降の２時間幅で選べ、最終は１９時～２１時まで配達してくれます。

一番気になる送料は八王子店の場合、１回のお届けにつき、配達料金３１５円（税込）、５，０００円以上注文時は無料サービスとなっています。　車でスーパーまで１０分弱掛かるので、ガソリン代や手間・時間節約を考えると配達料金３１５円は決して高くはない感じです。

掲載商品も食材に限らず、日用品・生活雑貨・衣料・くらしの品など豊富に選べます。　毎日の「特売品ちらし」も掲載され、その中からも選べます。　買った食材を使ったレシピページのリンクもあります。　買いたい商品の検索もできます。予想以上に充実していて、ネット通販としても使い勝手がよさそうです。

物は試しで、どんな形で届けてくれるのか、切れかけていた食品（冷凍食品含む）から、生活用品、電池など小額商品８品を計2,500円強をネットでカード決済で注文しました。　ネットスーパーでは、店舗でのポイントは付かないデメリットがありますが、一方で、カードのポイントが付き何を買ったのか履歴管理がしやすい面があります。

注文してから３時間後、指定の時間帯にキチンと届きました。　宅配ドライバーさんが、家の玄関前まで冷凍ボックス付き運搬箱を持ってきて、注文した商品を運搬箱から１つづつ取り出して手渡しするスタイルです。　納品書に受取サインをし、お客様控え兼領収書が渡されました。　

宅配便はイトーヨーカドー直営（委託）とのこと、店舗単位で市内エリア限定だから大手宅配業者に依存する必要もないようです。　宅配ドライバーさんによると、私が住む団地でも既にネットスーパーを利用している方が多い、エレベーターが無い５階建てなどは重い商品を運ぶのは大変だとのこと。　

スーパーマーケット側にとって、この「ネットスーパー」のビジネスモデルは送料３１５円で「ペイ」するのか、気になるところですが、市内エリア限定で物流コストはそれほど大きな負担ではなく、実店舗でもレジ要員や商品展示スペースなどのコスト負担がそれなりに大きいことに比べ、ネットスーパーはお客の囲い込み／新規獲得や利便性を実感した顧客からリピート率が高まるなどメリットが大きそうです。

利用者が増えれば増えるほどネットスーパーのシステム運用コストは下がるから、新ビジネスモデルとして妙味がありそうです。

ネットスーパーは、まだ首都圏、名古屋、大阪でしか実施されていませんが、都会もさることながら、地方でも、高齢者の独居世帯も多く、むしろ地方でのニーズが非常に高いと思います。　また、高齢者の方はパソコンやネット注文は使えない人が多いから、電話注文サービスが必要となりそうです。

ネットスーパーのビジネスモデルとＳＣＭ（サプライ・チェーン・マネジメント）の強みは、エリア限定であるが故に可能となる「注文後３時間で商品が届く」ことです。　これは、全国規模のネット通販には真似ができない即納の強みであり、強敵になります。　ネットスーパーの今後の動向が注目されます。
